Title: Tyre /tubes high pressure question
Post by: fattaffracingco on February 04, 2020, 03:23 AM
Hi all , ok with the passing of time I ain't 10 stone no more, (in fact I'm a bit of a fat fook )and when riding my midschool lash up with 1.95 on skyways with schwalbe tubes the rear tyre seems quite deflated , tyre is only rated to 35
I'm looking to replace with higher pressure tyres and or tubes , have I got to replace both , and if so any recommendations  ?? Thanks chris

You won't be able to put much more than 35psi on skyways bud, the tyre will pop off sadly.

Tubes will be fine, new school tyres are way better and rated around 65 to 100psi but you need rims that are a) tight and b) don't flex  :coolsmiley:

Should be ok going past 35 - I used to go up to about 50 when I ran tuffs

Disclaimer: if they do explode it's on you
