Title: MK 20 announcement
Post by: dancetothedrummersbeat on June 29, 2020, 10:40 PM
Sad news RADsters.

MK2020 will not be going ahead this year !
We've waited as long as we could to make a final decision... Although that ultimately has been made for us by Parks Trust..
It's not happening.

There is some good news ! Bucks Marquees have agreed to roll over to next year.
So MK2021 is ON already ( fingers crossed) .

All the early bird hotel rooms have been cancelled. Anyone that booked individually please speak to the hotel and cancel your bookings . 01908 251 830 .

Tickets... We?d appreciate for ease anyone who has purchased a ticket can use it next year.
Anyone that would like a refund
Please contact me either on here, via email or via facebook/facebook messenger (Andrew Rigby).
Quoting the number you were sent..

It's a shame but, can't be helped.

We'll do our very best to make MK2021 bigger and better than ever! Stay RAD !!!  We'll be back !

RADMIN TEAM.

First year since I joined the forum we've been able to make it.

Bloody Sod's law! And bought my boys an 84 Stratton to bring with us. They've been doing it up. They'll be gutted.

We'll keep our tickets and bring it next year please. Can't say I wasn't expecting it.

A few of the Usual Suspects rode a load of local skateparks thanks to Ed209 organising a day out down south. Gaz, Ed, Kenny, TrickyRich and yours truly met up with a load of new Suspects and team Clump for a day of skatepark action. The MK drain of doom was a spot we rode in respect to the fact we should all be there this weekend  :coolsmiley:

Pics will follow  :daumenhoch:

It's an overflow into a big culvert that you can access out the back of a dodgy council estate in MK  :daumenhoch:

As for the line to get up onto the wall, that's a whole lot trickier  :LolLolLolLol:

Rob it was a great laugh, the Suspects were on form, banter was fierce and the props were virtual when a trick was landed  :daumenhoch:

Ed as usual did a great job of organising frankly a bunch of fookwits somehow and it was a great day out. I only made a few of the venues due to childcare / geography / an inability to ever be on time issues and still not being great after falling off like a complete plank at T1 before lockdown, but the parks were great fun all the same  :coolsmiley:

Stay safe mate and hopefully see you next summer

Sadly, for those that would have been attending, it's been cancelled.

Gashead posted something earlier.

Will our tickets carry over ? I bought five  for Mk 20, and I'm happy for them to carry over into 2022.  It would never work with the current rules, so I don't blame them for not going ahead with the event.

Yes, they said they would carry any tickets that had been paid for over to MK25

I'm sure one of the Radmins will add a post on here soon, with all the info and details.

MK21

The admins have sadly taken to decision to move MK21 to MK22

This decision has not been taken lightly.

Carlos has spoken to Parks Trust, and although an ?amber light? has been given, it results in limited numbers, social distanced camping, social distance as a whole and also the event being open to those vaccinated.

Now I'm sure you will all have an opinion, this event is happening, I'm going to Butlins etc etc, but our names are on the licence to Parks Trust, and as a team of volunteers, we can't control this.

So to protect us and YOU, we will be back, we will be Rad, and we will party when safe.

Trust me not a message I or the team wanted to post, but please understand we are in unusual times.

Of course tickets will remain valid and our partners have held over deposits etc, so financially we are safe.

I do plead that people don't start other threads with opinions, I would 100% like it to be on, like most the admin, but we are restricted by Parks Trust, so please understand.

As said, it will happen, just at a later date - Enjoy the rides that are happening, rides not governed by authorities and or gatherings with no restrictions.
