Title: Hello - revival bike needing to be ridden
Post by: James_c on July 01, 2020, 09:35 PM
Hi everyone.

I just built a bike that I've been planning for some time. A revival of my first full size BMX that was gifted to me from my cousin in about 1990 (at which time thd bike itself was 10-15 years old).

A complete budget build, got no idea what the bike really is, my brother bought me a complete old skool bike I found on Facebook (O'Brian Challenge) which I've built out with new and NOS parts I've been collecting for 2 years.

Interested to know of any ride outs etc. Really enjoying the old skool bike.

Looks nice and clean.  Just remember if you fall not it hurts more than you were a kid  fistblump

Well I can safely say the hurt is the same for me, it's the recovery that is longer. I also have a Sunday Spark that I've been falling off the last couple of years. My right foot just won't heal from a sprain...

Never mind, I just want to mooch around skateparks with my kids looking cool with one or two good tricks.  Bunny's are OK, that's about it.

Biggest surprise on this one after riding a 25/9 is that the sproket will hit the coping. Hop in forever more.
