Title: Seat rails
Post by: Nigel on May 28, 2021, 07:56 PM
I'm looking at buying a Mt Racing seat off eBay but the rails are corroded to death
Any advice on replacing them if at all possible
I guess they were moulded in when made so may not be a straight forward

I've never tried but I read on a road bike forum that they are prone to pop back off if they take a knock or are stressed. I've seen that seat and yeah, the rails are shot. Unless you absolutely need a MT branded saddle check out bankrupt_bike_parts on eBay. They have some nos San Marco Supercorsa's in black. Nice saddle, nice price 👍🏼

I've seen worse for more and it could be tidied up a bit. Shame the tax whacks the price up though.
