So it looks like I'm dipping my toe in the mid school pool, and wondered if anybody knows what bars these are ? I kinda like them. Any ideas ? Apparently it's Ollie Bland on the cover but I don't know what he's riding or if the bars are stock to that bike. There is a decal on the bars but I can't make it out. Any help and info will be greatly appreciated. Thanks

No idea. Maybe Robi? your best bet is to post it in Name It on BMXM.

Cheers dude, I might just do that. The magazine is on eBay so I might take a chance and buy it. I messaged the seller but have not got a reply yet.

Yeah, I am sure you could read what is on them on the proper mag. It's irritating that those pics were probably scanned 10+ years ago when resolutions were lame.
And good luck in your hunt ! can't wait to see this :slayer:

Yeah I agree, we are spoiled with hi res images nowadays, it makes some research a lot easier.
I did post on the name it section on the museum. The magazine image wasn't displaying and I could not edit as I'm not a pro member. So I contacted admin and asked them to delete for this reason. I get a message from GAry saying he has fixed my image. I send a polite reply thanking him , I then get another message saying I am now a pro member and able to edit posts and upload images more easily. What a very nice gesture from a top bloke.

I acquired one of those 5 quid seats for this build. Thanks for the link in your thread :daumenhoch:

Other useful snags. If you are going single brake only these are cheap AF and NOS.

Very nice too, even nicer with a black adjuster swapped in. Oh and this was a bargain too.

It's a DMR clone of the Primo rod, only it costs about 1/4. Goes really nice with that seat tbh, especially at the price. Hopefully by the end of the week I will have my 2hip done, so you can have a look.

Thanks for the links :daumenhoch:
I'm already watching the lever and also like the Fishbone Skulls, watching those too. I like the post but I don't know what size the frame takes yet. I'm waiting for it to clear customs and probably need to pay a charge. I really was looking to fit a chrome post, Shame the DMR's are black, could work though.
I will be looking out for your 2Hip pics for sure fistblump

I had a few suggestions on my name it post on the museum, a few were more recent bars but one bloke reckons they are 100 percent Xposure bars. I found another comment on a name it post with identical bars but not a chrome finish, and Fishbone was named. I'm now focusing my search on those 2 brands.
I snagged this unbranded crmo post for the build I would like the bars to go on. Took a gamble on the bike taking a 25.4

I am 99% sure those bars are mid school redline V bars. Made for racing.

They are Xposure Groovy bars I've got a set in black , I recognise the sticker on the cross bar.
-
I had no idea Xposure were around in those days. Good to know.

Thanks dude fistblump it's good I now have a model as well as a manufacturer. Apparently the bars are reviewed in issue 20 of Ride BMX (Uk) I missed out on a copy recently.
When I get around to a mid school build they are what I want to use.

Yeah they did some nice mdschool bars . I have the groovy bars dirt bars and quad bars
