Am trying to ID a 19mm, 48-spline spindle which came with some used, 182mm Profile cranks. I don't know its age but it's solid, measures just under 14cm, so is about 5 1/2? in old money. There may possibly be some stamping on it but it's not clear enough for me to be sure if it is a stamp or just a mark. The 3rd pic is the best pic I could take of whatever it is. ::)
I don't know much about three-piece cranks but am not sure that Profile made spindles in this length, in which case does anyone have an idea what other brand it might be? Thanks in advance. :daumenhoch:

Its almost impossible to know. I guess you could weigh it, then look up what a Profile axle is supposed to weigh?
For many years other companies have been making them. I've bought a few, and been given a couple also. The one I have right now is Profile as it came with my Maderas, but no stamp or anything else.

BTW take the bolt out and get me a shot of the end. Mine has markings on it, look like a clock. Around the bolt hole in the end like.

Thanks mate! Below's a pic of the spindle end, as well as the bolt itself.
Being 5 and a half inches, it's not much smaller than the standard Profile ones, so hopefully wouldn't cause much of a problem. :daumenhoch:

Yeah that looks like a Profile to me. I know they do them longer also. Especially when you use super long arms like you have. It needs more spacing, or it hits the frame at the pedal end dude.

Thanks mate - appreciate the input. :daumenhoch:
