Title: GT Bars - info please
Post by: black rat on September 27, 2005, 10:16 AM
Does anyone know the year these bars were made ?

What bikes (if any) they were supplied with, as standard ?

Any info would be appreciated...

They are the tallest and widest bars that I have seen.

Thanks

B

They are known as GT PRO XL Bars (I have got a NOS pair on my Redline)
They were not supplied directly on bikes just able to buy on their own.
Available I think from about 82/83 time

Also known as XT's (xtra talls) Think they are about 30" wide. I am a big fella, and even I decided they were too big for meand I flogged them earlier this year.

Yes they are massive, but very comfortable for the adult rider...
you can really get some leverage on them for getting up to high speeds.

Thanks for your input.
