Post by: Frosty on February 12, 2007, 04:25 PM: rims that are the Araya 7b look a likes, does anyone know what dates they were produced from and are they as strong as the Araya/Ukai rims??

Post by: Frosty on February 12, 2007, 04:38 PM: I know they were cheaper and not so "fashionable" but was not sure when they first appeared, I may use some of these on a build because I don't hold out much hope of getting some nice 7 B's for less than a small fortune!!

I think Raleigh spec'd the later (I assume later) 7x copies on some of their bikes too.

They are good rims as are Spencer rims :daumenhoch:

Post by: jT Racing on February 13, 2007, 06:51 PM: yep, weinmann is the same quality as araya. they made and make a lot of stuff for road bikes. araya is another of shimano's company's anyhow. so many OS parts company's are actually owned by shimano, or the japanese company that owned them.araya, shimano, dia-compe ect....
