Title: from Ta to kuwi
Post by: jT Racing on February 18, 2007, 10:54 AM
When i started collecting, i had a goal of a white TA, a chrome TA and an team aero pro. Since then that has totally changed. I don't have any of these, and now like the kuwahara's, early mongoose stuff and SE. I think 3 more framesets, and i am happy. then a bit of trimming and i can finally keep my money in my pocket. Anybody been through this? It sounds easy in theory, but practise, i am not so sure. The word STOP ??? can it be done?

i started off like most people typing in their childhood bike on ebay . and hey presto i found a DB silverstreak which i bought..   i bought the odd mongoose along the way that i resold as they didnt float my boat . i even bought a 1975 raleigh chopper :wtf: , that i resold . ive just got the five now which i have restored i havent bought anything in ages as money has been spent around the house .
db harry leary turbo ,silverstreak , white TA , kuwahara ET and the NOS Turbolite which was a replacement for a survivor Turbolite i sold ...   i can never explain to my mates why i have the Turbolite when they come round they think im a little odd

dont think ill buy any more . if a haro gen 1 popped up and i had the spare folding . you never know  :LolLolLolLol:

Well i built my two that i wanted as a kid

Haro master with skyway's (not cheap aero things that i used to have) and put on all the expensive bits i wanted not copies

As then a skyway TA

So, my mission is complete ... well nearly

Started to build a haro group 1 to ride at MK and i'm sure i will stop then, but i do fancy a GT now  :LolLolLolLol:

Like its been said, I typed in a search for the last bike I owned which was an 85 Haro Master and have set about getting all the parts to build it up nearly as I had it bitd.  It's surprising how many little bits just aren't around anymore and when they are I have no cash  ::).  Plus some are just way too expensive to justify, like gen 2 Profiles and a Pro Neck or Tuf neck stem  :(.  I've got most other parts though for it to look very close to what I had so the spirit is there!

Currently I have three builds on the go, two old school and one mid school.  One old school I've nearly all the parts for and just waiting for a seat to arrive.  One just waiting to go into the spray shop which now has all the parts and one final mid school which I'm just getting parts for.

That will make two mid school, 2 old school and two new school rides, all I wanted was one!  :LolLolLolLol:
