80Mph on the M67. Traffic ahead of me was everso slightly not moving and I needed to scrub off speed FAST! Had a real MotoGP moment where the backend was only just in contact with the ground and wiggling about. Boy did the bike pull up fast though !!!!
NOTE TO SELF: Buy brown undies for motorbike days.

As happened to me on my tricked up CBR6 :'(

if there had been a car transporter in front of you with the back down you could have done a big jump, like on bond films. with a heel clicker in the air

Heh San, as scary as it is at the time I bet you were amazed at how the bike pulled up and showed what can they can do!!
-
be careful out there mate please, I have seen two bad bike accidents in two weeks, >:(
:) DINGO :)

Thanks for your support guys. It was cats n dogs this morning so safe braking distances were maintained at all times.

You're not wrong there. Initially I thought "oh-oh" but then stopped a good 2-3 car lengths away and thought "blimey that's quick stopping". I have noticed over the last few weeks that my brake lever is creeping closer & closer to the bars, so I think it's time to replace the brake pipes for some braded ones. The brakes are already renowned for being pretty good on my bike, I can't imagine what they'll be like with new hoses. I had new pads about 5-600 miles ago and they are well and truely bedded in now.
-
What bike have you got San?
A good set of Goodridge o Earls hoses will do nicely as well.
I think I'm going to retire from this BMX thing soon and get back into my bikes. After years of working in the bike industry i lost my interest for a while but I recently started playing Tourist Trophy on the PS2 and it's really spiked my interest again. I even charged up the battery on the dommie at the weekend ready for some spring time action.

Get braided hoses, totally transforms the brakes. :daumenhoch:
Well worth the money.

Y2K Triumph Sprint RS 955
-
I like the Triumphs, I used to have the 1st T595 in Strontium Yellow with the original frame that was polished alloy, until the bloody factory recall :tickedoff:
Sounded beautiful with a full Akropovic system on it :2funny:
Have got one of these now with an Arrow pipe, equally as loud!!

I did a few weeks worth of research on what bike to get, as my initial desire was for a yellow T595. By all accounts it wasn't as good as it could have been with handling etc. The Sprint RS is a funny bike. There were 2 models of Sprint (only one now), the ST & the RS. Whilst the ST was fully faired, it was actually the touring version and the half faired RS (belly pan is an option) was actually the sports model. Well anyway the RS was considered at the time to possibly be the best all round bike triumph had made. I like it anyway, although I do wish it was in a different colour sometimes. But as a daily commuter bike I want to blend into the background as opposed to standing out like a bowl of custard.
-
I quite like standing out like custard because less dozy idiots pull out in front of you.
I've got this at the moment and would never sell it as it's the absolute dogs.
