Any one got any good tips for removing the nasty sticky goop the frame and fork stickers leave behind - iv removed some 22 year old stickers and they have left so much sticky nasty shite - i having a nightmare trying to get it all off- the frames chrome and looks to be nice and shiny so i dont want to damage it - iv tried nail polish remover - wd40 and degreaser with no luck!!!
Help!

Try any one of these ... White Spirit, WD 40, GT80, Panel Wipe (pre-paint) or lighter fuel :daumenhoch:

Good old fashioned Petrol works brilliantly especially on Chrome Frames. Pour just a little on a nice soft coth and gently rub takes minutes and it's done. Buff dry with another soft cloth and bingo perfect result.

If you don't want to steal fuel from your neighbours, you can buy De Solv It Spray from Wilko's/Supermarkets. Costs a couple of quid, and removes sticker residue from just about anything with ease :daumenhoch:

I got a can of "sticky stuff remover" from "RS" (through my work)
Id really does do what it says on the tin!
-
surgical spirit from your local pharmacy

Panel wipe is the best stuff i think.

white spirit then clean it with vinegar before new decals go on ;)

Brasso or Duraglit, the sort that comes in the tin with a wadding cloth, does the job and you wont set fire to you/your bike/shed ect.......
