Title: THE GOOP THAT STICKERS LEAVE BEHIND - REMOVEL - HELP !!!
Post by: wildwood1971 on October 14, 2007, 11:43 AM: Any one got any good tips for removing the nasty sticky goop the frame and fork stickers leave behind - iv removed some 22 year old stickers and they have left so much sticky nasty shite - i having a nightmare trying to get it all off- the frames chrome and looks to be nice and shiny so i dont want to damage it - iv tried nail polish remover - wd40 and degreaser with no luck!!!

Post by: bodamus on October 14, 2007, 11:49 AM: Good old fashioned Petrol works brilliantly especially on Chrome Frames. Pour just a little on a nice soft coth and gently rub takes minutes and it's done. Buff dry with another soft cloth and bingo perfect result.

Post by: davemac1974 on October 16, 2007, 11:25 PM: If you don't want to steal fuel from your neighbours, you can buy De Solv It Spray from Wilko's/Supermarkets. Costs a couple of quid, and removes sticker residue from just about anything with ease :daumenhoch:
