Actually the first two are the Ripsaw and the Ripsaw 2.  The Buzzsaw was made by S&S who made the Tiger Teeth.

My Buzzsaw in '92.

Thanks for posting those up. Anyone care to put an approx date of release for each model? I'm thinking of the Imperial in particular, would that era-correct for a '95 bike?

Nice one Phil, thats really cool.

I hate them all! Totally over machined and over the top. CNC for the sake of it.
The only one that is nice and simple is the first one ... which I really like. I have a few of them.

I have to agree.  I prefer a flat disc with some teeth and couple of holes.  But that's me.   :uglystupid2:

any idea on the years of the first 2 sprockets pictured?
Title: Re: profile midschool chainrings
Post by: thecaptain on April 11, 2009, 09:59 AM
bit of info to add...

the fireball sprocket is an anodised/painted red and raw silver version of the inferno sprocket

there is a widowmaker, and a widowmaker ss (the SS is 8mm thick and is anodised black and raw silver)

And the profile ss (named in first post) is actually called the 'ss flywheel'

There are also more versions of profile sprockets but more new school, (thought id add them in here anyway) the names are below:

profile wake sprocket
profile blade sprocket
profile KP sprocket
Profile nano drive (18t,20t,22t)
Profile imperial 7075 version

Yeah, that one is wicked. The flowers are in the paint, not the metal.

They are kinda hard to make out. Ive circled the ones you can see in the pic, but they are all over it.

The "SS" or beefy versions of their sprockets had 3/16 teeth, so you needed a big chain to use them.
Here's my 39t fireball, with a kmc 415 chain...

It looks pretty awesome with the unengraved side painted black too, but I only have one not so good shot of it...

i bought a new the wall tyre off ebay and sent my lad to get it for me as it was a bad place to park.
he came back out with a carrier bag of bits that he gave the lad a fivver for and said are these any good dad.
was this chain ring , a early pig head seat , pair of primo grips , 3 sets of pegs , a chain and a few more bits and bobs.
as soon as i seen them i thought what was the bike these had come off lol.
parked and knocked the door only to be told it was a dirt bike that was his dads but he gave away to one of his mates and it got pinch  :'(.
anyway wellpleased with the bits i got.
cheers son  :smitten:.
