Only 4 days to go!!!! Wooo Hooo!
Some great news:
With the support of Stu Dawkins (Backyard genius & Seventies top man), we are pleased to announce that we will be running a Backyard style Jump Box competition at the RADBMX Xmas Bash!
The aim is to recreate those Backyard comp days with everyone crowded around a jump and it all... well, just goes off! With riders like John Taylor, Dennis Wingham, Paul Meacher, Alex Leech, Geoff Cain, Billy Purcell, etc, present - you can guarantee a great show!
The lovely TwoBobRob will be running the comp, and together with Stu will be judging to find the winners.
Categories (there will be one for novices too!), judging rules and prizes from Seventies will be posted later today.
The comp will start at 8pm.
Big thanks to Stu, Colin and John and Seventies/Backyard for supporting this idea! We love you!
You'll be able to sign up on the night (see TwoBobRob) - but it'll help us if you can post here and say 'Hell man, I'm in!'

Ah, crap! I was at Creation last week and the only time I rode the jump box was when we rode it like a mini ramp cos the mini ramp was out of action. I wish I had done some jumps now :crazy2:
(I wish I could DO some jumps now! lol)
-
I wish I could just get over that jump box, let alone do any cool stuff.
:LolLolLolLol: :LolLolLolLol: :LolLolLolLol: :LolLolLolLol: :LolLolLolLol:

Bugger.......i'm not even going! :-[
-
Dennis Wingham has just confirmed he's coming too...

No no - don't do that!! THe event is for riding!
There is going to be a novice section too - it's all about effort not just skill!!
TwoBobRob is running the comp for us...I know he has a great set of rules and categories coming later tonight.
But yes, you're right, it should be great!!!!
-

cheers, not sure what i can get between now and then, but thanks for the advice.
-
i think its one in you box of tricks stevie.
-
sounds cool :daumenhoch:
-
don't huddle too close to the box when denis is riding. he is very unpredictable when the adreline is going. ha.
-
;D ;D ;D Isn't he ever.........
Specific groups will be decided on the night, based upon who actually sticks their name down. Personally, I'd score a terrified novice who clears the box for the first time just as high as the bloke who pulled his first truck for a couple of years, if you see what I mean?
It's all about the effort for me.
Above all, it needs to be a good scream. Should be fun :)
I will be walking around on Saturday night collecting names. Be aware, you will have to work quite hard to not have your name on the list...... ;)
-
put me down for novice then, I'm clearing that box, or I'll try, not sure I can get enough speed.
:daumenhoch:
-
Never cleared it so far so will be interesting on the night but worth a try all the same. :uglystupid2:
Put me down for Novice as well. :daumenhoch:
-
well that's me and Barnaby in our very own clear the jump box deathmatch face off.
good luck dude. :daumenhoch:
-
You too!!!
Remember its not about winning its about taking part!! (well that's going to be my line anyway) :D
-
don't worry mate, I have no idea how I'm gonna get enough speed, I certainly ain't rolling in the launch ramp, having never done it before.
:LolLolLolLol: :LolLolLolLol: :LolLolLolLol: :LolLolLolLol: :LolLolLolLol: :LolLolLolLol: :LolLolLolLol: :LolLolLolLol: :LolLolLolLol:
-
the roll in with be the same as the foam at cordoba!
you'll both clear it,i know it
-
Hmmmm... only difference being no foam!!!! :LolLolLolLol:
You not joining us master?
-
nah, wasnt any spaces when we all looked.
so im going to mutjam at charlton instead :)
-
Gutted - had a look for your name on the list and thought it was an oversight you weren't on it!!!!
Sounds like you couldn't make it even if there was space now.
Anyway, you have fun where ever you go!!!
In fact you're the Pied Piper of fun!!!! :daumenhoch:
-
