Can you colour match, I know it will not be perfect, but if I was to send a stem to be annoed and a already annodised grip collar can you get a close match? Also like an idea on turnaround time as it's for my race bike.
Gary
Title: Re: Anodising Price list
Post by: customparts on April 18, 2009, 12:10 AM
hello gary
What colour are you wanting to match? We will try our best to match most colours so if you let me know which colour or send me a pic of the colour i can give you a better answer.  As for turnaround 5-10 days hopefully again it depends on the colour as we have to warm certain dyes up and its not really cost-effective to warm a dye up for a few pieces so we normally wait till more come in.

Cheers
Paul

Dumb question guys, but if I have a set of rims polished shiny shiny mirrory  ;D to preserve them like that can they then be "clear" anodised? otherwise in time they'll oxidise and go dull surely?

Sorry if this is dredged up again..I'm sure I read about this before but cant locate topic.

For example - Bought a Mongoose Californian from a guy on Burnerworld about year & a half ago which has Pro Class wheels on. The bike was originally restored by Jezza with lovely shiny rims. It's been a show bike ever since but the shinyness has gone...well....dull. No exposure to the elements and in less than 2years this has happened.

Paul & Mark at CCA have just done my Araya's. I've just had a set stripped, polished & re-anodised in silver. The finish is so good that it is almost as shiny as chrome. Araya stamps were preserved and not polished out. They also anodised a bare aluminium power disc black, with excellent results. Good prices too! CCA come highly recommended.
Thanks. Take a look at the pic below

No , you can't anno steel generally .

Closest could be a candy in powder in 2 pack .

As above what mattdub said, only aluminium can be anodised :daumenhoch:

Hi, I was wondering if you had samples of the 'old school' anno colours and keep the new anno to these colours?

I only ask as some items from other places are so out on colour difference it makes your build look pants  :(

If you can keep the blue to the shade of the original blue, then I will be sending some items to you  :LolLolLolLol:

I have an item of 'old school' blue I could send along with the other items for you to have a shade reference if that helps  :daumenhoch:

LMK please fella, look forward to hearing from you  :daumenhoch:

Better  to just ring him at his workshop  ;)
