What colour is the Tour de France gonna be ,
a revitalised fresh coat of the same colour, Nezza ? :)
I've got all my parts ready and waitng to go back on the Leary build , just need to recover the seat today,
I can feel a pumping,,,,throbbing ,,,,leaking sensation,,, stirring in my y fronts and spilling over my snakebelt :P

yes dan i do supplie paint and yes i can paint but we work as a team me and the painter . just he knows nothing of the harry leary colour . hope this answers your question
-
Just to show people the difference
I first tried to get my frame done , a transparent powder , but it was a total disaster , a big waste of money
heres some pics before I had to get it totally stripped again, (more expense as I had to get it professionally done )
You can see the original HLT colour still on the head tube steerer , not like you need that to show you how far this finished colour is out :crazy2:
I was gutted to say the least :'(
(http://www.radbmx.co.uk/archive/albums/u24/hunterdubber/Photo07201755.jpg)

Then found Neil was THE only person to deal with
With all the powdering ,stripping , painting, and numerous posting to and from places this frameset's finish stands me at around £300
But since I got it back on Tuesday , like I said before NOW the result, is the best money I've spent doing this hobby :daumenhoch:
-
CHRISTAIN i spent over £120 buying some so called harrry leary smoked powder from c4 labs . to find out it was nearly the same as your blue powder lacquer that was 1st on your frame . i am not slagging c4 labs as they are amazing with paint and powder but what they sent me was poo poo :daumenhoch:
-
Top Job Neil and Top Build Mr Dubber :4_17_5:

Neil ,
Is the guy you're doing the road bike for gonna keep it for sentimental reasons or is he just gonna 'bay it ? . I ask because I wondered if there's a story or two about that actual bike and him or his family etc ............
Matt
-
Neil i cant imagine the pressure you have been under with this resto job :crazy2:
If any of those parts had been lost/broken or something other the guilt would have been large IMO I sweat when applying decals for someone else :LolLolLolLol:
After all you have done the guy should be stocked and your skills are top draw buddy :daumenhoch:

maybe then neil give a resto a scan over before hand and give an estimate , in writing , to the owner , tell em the most itll be too , up to them then , if they accept get a deposit off em , do em a deposit receipt with the estimate price on to and get em to sign it , you have a copy and they have one too

Well just keep hold of the bike till he pays up ;)
How long would you have to keep it for before it legally becomes your property , ???
Then Ebay it , or sell on a vintage road bike forum ,, :daumenhoch:
You'll get your fees back and , anything else you make would be a bonus . :4_17_5:
Only problem being is it's money tied up :-\

dont haggle neil or you will be peaved when he walks away with all your hard labour, and he will be laughing behind your back....
if you had a gentlemans agreement about costs, stick to it, you are legally entitled to keep the bike until he pays up as you have an interest in it...
