Just be a bit careful with spindle lengths and wonky chainlines if you're starting to look at non-bmx cranks for bmx frames, assuming that you're looking for cranks for a bmx?? Not a deal-breaker but you might have to play around with spacers more than normal to straighten things up. :daumenhoch:

Back to the loft. Floor construction now finished, but I could murder my cousin. Entire sub floor was pissed, so that turned into a real pain.

I then grew tired of losing 3mm drill bits down the gaps, so when the back floor (against the wall) was finished I taped off all the gaps.

Next up, lino planks (self adhesive ones). Should be much easier than that building shit, that's for sure !

Mang this stuff is an absolute shit head to work with. It melts when you get it even remotely warm, and it's so sodding slippery its a shit bag to cut manually  :LolLolLolLol:

I do now have a block, but this has all thrown up an issue I never knew I had. Why in the fudge does the spindle motor on my machine refuse to run any slower? Just did some investigating and it seems no matter what I set the speed to it's not having it. It's either all on (20,000 RPM ffs) or off.

Thanks man.

Well it turned out the acetal nylon sheet is not cast but extruded. That means.....

melty melty  :LolLolLolLol:

The first 1.4mm bit snapped and then that happened with a 3mm bit. It isn't removing it, just melting it, so I need to cut it manually.

I will dig out my hacksaw in a bit and crack on with that.
