just wondering whats best for inner brake cable when threading through outer cable to prevent friction. is it grease or oil ? as i will be using this on a pitbull brake caliper :-\

Bit of grease wiped on the inner before you thread it through

And if its for a rider use a linear cable, the outer cable wont compress like an old one will...  :daumenhoch:

is a linear cable the outer cable with plastic inside it :-\

 :) Linear cable housing is straight whereas regular cables are coiled.A lot of cables these days are also slic type-they have a teflon impregnated plastic tube for the inner wire to pass through...

stick to a lighter, thinner grease & you can always put some oil down the outer first too...
