Name:  Dan
Occupation: Creative Artworker
Years Collecting: been around this scene about 10 years
Interests: BMX, Mtb, Snowboarding, Architecture, Arts, Anything fun.
Dislikes: Impatient know it alls
Favourite BMX: PK Ripper (and I've never owned one / yet)
Favourite Old School BMX Brand: Se Racing (the old one, not the new rubbish)

Inspirations over the years (Builders): Muxster, Chris Baron, Chip, and more recently Tim (although I never used to see eye to eye with him, I hope I have matured to understand now that patient restoration is the best and most rewarding, not everything needs re chroming or re powdering to be beautiful).

I'll try and list these from my 1st to my most recent:

This is my second Mauler build - the 1st I regrettably sold, so when the chance came up to build another, I jumped at it - enjoy

Its impossible to tell the exact date of one of these frames by their serial numbers - only that they were made from 1982 to 1984

A little history 1st:

Se Racing 24" Mauler: 1982/84 - Race inc. manufactured version

(text taken from the Scott Breithaupt interview on bmxultra.com)

The Mauler

Scot: This was a name we came up with for our round tube alloy models, made by Race Inc. Bill Bastian wasn't doing
very well with his line and we started buying up all he could make and labeling them with SE-Mauler stickers.
We were so back-ordered with PK's and Quads, we needed frames to sell... Later , I designed the 24" Mauler and had
it produced by Murray for us to again compete with the overseas makers.

We really prided ourselves on "Made in USA" and stuck it out as long as we could with all
models. Unfortunately, Murray was unable to meet our quality standards, and we discontinued the line.

Other bikes: The ones I really ride  :)

Curtis MX24: Past

Dmr Sidekick:
