well we set off at 8:30 this morning and got to the finish line at 4:30 (only 8 hours!)
weather wasn't too bad, bit drizzly but the headwind was a bastard at times. the reputation of 'The Beacon ' is very well deserved

had a nice hot soak when I got in, think I'll sleep well tonight

pickle, justin & mark was great riding with you today  :daumenhoch:

if anyone wants to make a donation the link's here http://www.justgiving.com/teams/BMXlondontobrighton

cheers, griff

Excuse this if its a little random. Just got in after driving 3 1/2 hours home.

A top ride with top blokes went down today. We showed our heels to plenty of faster bikes, especially tucking in and drafting down the big slopes only. The bikes went well, nothing broke or fell off but they did gain a few more creaks.

All the other riders were talking about the madmen on BMX's, that was nice, especially as most didnt know it was us!

And finally, thanks to you guys for making this ride just plain amazing.

Oh, and did I mention the massive cheer we received when we crossed the line?

Bad photos here http://m.flickr.com/#/photos/level_/

Goodnight.

OMFG!!!!!

What a day.  Great weather, great bunch of guys, great fun.  Ok i lied about the last part  ;D ;D

Ive never done anything so insanely bizarre in the past, and at more than time i did question my sanity  :idiot2:

it was superb riding with you guys and I saw mark come in at the end....well done fella, I have to say I wasn't sure you were going to make it but hats off to you and everyone else  :4_17_5:

TBH Rob, on more than one occasion i considered giving up, but as the miles ticked away it seemed pointless.  When you have done 40+ miles, the last 10 or say are not worth giving up on  ;D

So glad i finished, although im knackered today

Top result all round guys  :daumenhoch:

you're not wrong paul, was very tough in places but some of the down hill bits were fantastic, especially the high speed blast down through the town  :daumenhoch:
buzzing that with the help of lots of generous people we've managed to raise a good chunk of money for a worthy cause that doesn't get much attention normally, back at work tomorrow so hoping it's not over yet!

seriously recommend this to anyone for next year (paul I think you'd love it  :daumenhoch:)

spot on griff, there's a lot of good peeps about and anything like this can only be good publicity :daumenhoch:

yep love the mileage/band of brother cammaradere as the worcester ride proved griff, so echo the recommendation, will consider next year if can sort logistics :)
