Rebel freestyler - thoughts needed please
« on: April 01, 2011, 07:35 AM »
Hey all,

I got myself a rebel freestyler a week or so back from fleabay.  It needs major reno, and I was about to re powder back to the original white and have been copying the original decals.  Then I got to thinking about a custom decal set, as the originals are a bit dull tbh.  As its a 'Rebel' with all the Southern redneck links, I came up with the following ideas:

White frame, custom decals on same theme but with a looser tattoo style

White frame, custom totally different decals (Star wars 'rebel' theme?)

Fook it all, orange frame Dukes of Hazzard General Lee paintjob and matching custom decals (prob not the first to think of this)

Or do I stick to the original replica?

What do you think guys?

I think I've seen an orange one before !
But the star wars rebel sounds intriguing.
How would that look ?

Not 100% on that one yet, would need to put a few designs down but would be based around a black & white colour scheme with the 'rebel' starwars round logo on the headtube and the starwars typeface adapted to suit Rebel perhaps

Yeah Rick, I'll get some posted tomorrow.  Needs some love but now at the powdercoaters and lumped for traditional white, with maybe a twist on the decals

Pre resto pics of the frame.  Had the F&F powdered now, along with a pair of Rickman bars.  Working on the decals....

I love picking up shiny parts from the coaters.... :smitten:
