Not sure if I'm going to be riding on the 3rd - left hand/wrist has been aching since the Boardroom night on 8th October and after a trip to the docs this morning looks like I might have fractured my scaphoid  :tickedoff: (Jimbo if it is that was a good guess!)
Gonna go for an x-ray later on today and should know the results soon, keeping my fingers crossed

John, you managed to ride at TRM1 the other week mate, what's the deal - have you got the internet back up and running at home and been overdoing it on those "left-handed log-on" sites you use again mate ???

;D I wasn't riding much tbh (nor at ed's BR bash) instead I just wobbled around in the far corner getting in everyone's way!
was hoping it's just bruised but as it's been 6 weeks it should be better by now
luckily I'm right-handed but since I surf on work pc can't visit any of those special-interest sites you recommended

rang the docs and they said that the x-rays have come back normal  :daumenhoch:
thanks fook for that - made the mistake of googling 'treatment of scaphoid fracture'  was quite gory - lots of talk of screws and bone grafts which made me feel a bit sick. going to go back to the doctor again though, as I also read that due to its location a scaphoid fracture doesn't always show up in an x-ray  ::)

whatever the outcome might not make this one mark - still hurts to even lift a frying pan at the mo, so probably a good idea to rest up a bit really unless it suddenly starts feeling ok. If I can't make it will paypal my money over for someone to pass to Dave

Getting close now guys, need to have numbers for eating out after.

options could be..

finish riding 10-10.30, a few pints, kebab at `Alivels' (if the weather is dry, we could cruise the town!)

finish as above, go for Curry and drink some beer

get that picnic table the skaters play with at the BR, get a fook off big curry and some beers at the BR and eat there.

I think the biggest issue is driving, I may leave my car at the BR and ride home (weather dependant)

Any other suggestions, as I will need to book a table at a curry house if thats the chosen route.

Cheers

See you on Saturday, Suspects!  :daumenhoch:

Me and 'Footdownthe-Lou' are down for whatever.

Take away curry on paper plates with a sneeky beer without going over the top sounds good... or down for hitting up a crack den titty S&M parlor if thats what everyone else wants  :)

Need to clear the 'eating at the Boardroom' with Dave before the night through... I can ring him or will leave it to you MArrky

Mark, that might be an idea mate as it sounds like a lot of us are injured or drinking shandy anyway as we're driving..... tell Dave I'll buy him a curry if he wants one :daumenhoch:

Hootski isn't able to make this trip, and I am currently struggling with typing let alone riding a bike due to my Jeremy Beadle hands (sorry, the virus I have that is stopping me being able to walk properly and grip anything!), so if I can convince Dordy or Sid to drive then I'll be there with a bike to lean on (NigelB stylee) whilst taking the pish out of Ed as usual.

Please note that I currently can't grip a spanner, so Rich Clean will have to bring his own "Toys are us: my first toolbox" collection of joke kids spanners for tightening his own bike up, but I'll be fooked if I'm gonna miss a night out and will have a go on my bike over the jump-box to see how bad it is by saturday as it's getting better :coolsmiley:

Either way Sid and Dave said they'd be up for a quick beer afterwards at 10ish and then would want to slope off home, so it's unlikely we will be joining you past the first bar anyway :-\ Might be a good enough reason to go out as you'll get rid of me :yahoo_silent:

Looking forward to it, but I'm just hoping someone else can drive :-[
