I need wheels
« on: August 30, 2005, 02:03 PM »
I am in need of set of new wheels for my late ninties/early 21st PK Ripper

Mine are so fooked now, the back wheel sounds like i have spokie dokies fitted

I want to run the tiny cogs too. so do i need a cassette hub, or something like that?
I have some good rims, so i just need hubs. i can build them easy enough.

Anybody point me in the direction of a half decent rear hub that can take a teeny sprocket?

Also the rear drops on the ripper can take a fatter (than 10mm) axel, but it wont slide in as there are tabs at the ends of the dropouts.
Do all good hubs nowadays come with bolts rather than an axel? i'm a little out of touch with modern stuff!

here's the ripper:

lower than a 13t you'll need a cassette hub.  think you need a one piece driver for 9, 10 and 11.

and only profile do the 9 [ i think   :-\ ]

fly do a decent rear hub that'll take a 13th odyssey freewheel and it can take either lhd or rhd, any lower than that and you'll need a cassette hub, like daze said

Tuffs suck on modern bikes as they flex way to much even grahites,

Orb you cant run micro gearing with tuffs

Get a built up oddy hazard from Alans I think he is doing completes for a reasonable price
