Got this Batavus frame a few months back, 1980/81 i think. Painted in some sort of house paint which was a swine to get off, it seems it was originaly red judging from the B.B

they didn't mean the bottom bracket falling off eh lol.

But why do that then flatten the rear triangle tubes 2 weld them 2 the BB

Cheers for the comments guys, really getting into this build. Looking to build it close to stock with a few nice twists. Gonna be experimenting with rattle can annodising soon so that should be interesting

Think i will stay clear of those mags as i want to ride it. I do have a pair of yellow alloy hub skyways that need serious resto though. Should look peachy if i can get them something like decent.
