Adhesive has a low melting point so a hairdryer will loosen them otherwise we use Swan lighter fluid  at work (I'm a creative and we mount stuff up a lot)

when we had our van sales pitch
we always used to use petrol on a cloth for getting the sticky off the vans when we pulled the lettering off.
it used to just wipe off.

well fitting and removing stickers was my trade for 14 years.... and the best thing to use is iso alcohol,
which isnt the sort of thing u have in ur kitchen cupboard...however petrol and thinners work well...
but it is always advisable to do a test patch first....

Hi Weston

As said before really, but a couple of other items are quite handy.

I use boiling hot water as this gets most of the gunk off with the stiker. If the sticker is broken or very tight it's best to use a plastic filler spreader (as this does not scratch). Then it's either petrol, thinners, or panel prep depending on the item.

This is how I removed stickers from rare and exspensive vintage and classic cars, when working in the trade, and use the same techique on bikes.

Hope this helps.

J.
