can any one date the bike

Very nice Araya's

Diacompe brake calipers

Sugino opc and snowflake

And need to ID this stem ... Nitto type

what stem is this $:-\$

i am also not into Raleigh... but it was old and looks nice . and it was an os BMX ..
does it have to need more reasons

Very similar to a Shimano MX2 ?? Check bike builder. http://jalbum.net/en/browse/user/album/840477 page 3 on the stem section.
