In my experience Synstrip is rubbish, the paint was just as hard to get off as using a cheapo stripper from Wilko's  :-\ seen pictures on here with paint just falling off frames? not so in my experience sorry  :2gunsfiring_v1:

Send it to the Chromers Al and let them do the hard work. I just had some painted forks and a Chrome frame stripped and they were back in a day, £60 job done :daumenhoch:

Synstryp does work, for small parts like headsets you need to try to keep the part in a container & pour on . A small  (tupperware container) will do & stick the lid on !

Because of the fumes if you are doing a frame or larger part you really need to work in a well ventilated area or do it outside . Problem with this is it tends to evaporate quickly & it dries up so you need to give it a head start, i've scored the paint or powder with a wire brush before painting or pouring it on & then placed the frame in to a large bin liner (rubble sack) & sealed the top stopping it from evaporating & it works a treat but you need to be patient. On a thick powder it could take a day or so  but it will do the job. :daumenhoch:
