Car boot spot.....

Went to a car boot this morning to show my relatives from Hong Kong what its like to buy other people's shite...

Turned the corner and spotted this laden with araya's, sugino, Dia compe and sr bits.
It was a Cro-mo burner

Price I hear you asking.....

300 English sovereigns.

I did at first....
To be honest the guy was a good bloke.
I chatted to him for half an hour or so. Someone had put that figure in his mind so that's why he was asking 300 for it.

Was showing him pics of my collection on my phone.
I said eBay was his best bet and that he'd probably get more like 150 for it on there.

the most iv'e ever gone to one with is £100,  At that one i only picked up a very tidy new school bmx with a puncture for £10.
the next time i went with £30 and missed a chopper for £50

Exactly what I was thinking? at that price he'll still have it for ever! did you take a contact number for him? if he wants that money for it then I guess ebay is his best bet?

He did say to take his number but couldn't be arsed really as I wasn't gonna pay more than about 30 quid for it.

Nothing that I would use on it anyway.

I'm sure it will be on the bay imminently.

you see something like this that gets your heart pumping and you start thinking to your self,well thats mine!.then they go and spoil it with a ridiculous price, .£300,
theres a secondhand shop around my way which gets half its stuff from the tip.because of ebay,and the internet,the woman thinks everything that she sells should cost likewise.i stop going around there now because of that reason.
