So I picked this up from a local guy who was advertising it on ebay, I believe its a 98? GT performer the serial number is S8DY01698 (the last number is hard to read, pretty sure its an 8 )

Its been a bit molested, id like to get it back to standard and set it up for flat land use (front and rear pegs, Giro etc). I'm going to strip the whole thing back and start again (keeping original chrome).

Here are a couple of pics:

I just purchased this NOS saddle from ebay, Is this the correct saddle for the model?

I have the original wheels, are the correct/as new brakes diacompe bulldog? The Giro odessey?. Any advice or images of an example thats as standard would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance

Tim

Hiya Tim  :daumenhoch:

The seat isnt actually the correct one for the year but its one of the best ones in my opinion.

The one you have bought was fitted to the previous models but its a good start to a cool build :)

You're right, it's a 98 Performer.

I will keep my eyes peeled for one!

Looking at the the spec it says tektro rear brake which it has, doesn't mention the front? Would that have been the dia compe bulldog? And what levers, the ones I have have a lock pin system but no makers name. I'm planning on getting all the parts I need prior to rebuild so I have it all ready to go.

If you want a Bulldog front I've got a few as well  :daumenhoch:
