racing at the 3 sisters WIGAN
« on: August 18, 2013, 10:28 PM »
after a few beers and a chat with MIke Bigfrawg this weekend at M.K.an idea was hatched for some racing at the 3 sisters .
So we've all herd and know about the 3 sisters bmx race track in Wigan, and sadly its long gone  :'( .... BUT theres still the 3 sisters go-cart race track located next to the old bmx track  :D ... so who would be interested in a go - cart race day ?
had a quick look on their web site and thers a few different packages avaliable ..  £25 £50 £110 .... obviously the more you pay the longer you get ....
heres a link to the 3 sisters web site .....................
http://www.three-sisters.co.uk/outdoor-go-karting.asp

just an idea at this stage .. so the rest is down to you guys .. anyone interested post up on here with the price range/ race package you think would work best . if enough interest then i get it organised  :daumenhoch:

Great track, we race supermoto there, and there is a table top jump too, allthough I dont think a kart would fly that well.

I can assure you those carts certainly fly , after taking a hairpin bend at full chat ( 60 plus miles an hour ) clipped a curb and took off flying backwards !
Bit of a bum twitching moment for sure  :D

That's how I see it too , unfortunately the marshals see it differently ( I think that's why I kept on getting black flagged )  :idiot2:

Nice one, I think the take off and flight would be ok, its just landing it that may be a problem, it throws you quite high but it is fun

Defo up for this! I love karting. I entered an open iron man event the other week at Speedkarting, Warrington. £60 for a 5 min practice, then a 40  min race. Quality stuff! Any idea on a date/dates?

Looks like fun to be had then Carl.... You V Andy challenge  :LolLolLolLol:

The Karts are twin engine 350cc's reasonable well balanced and throb up to around 60 on the back straight.

The 400cc single engine Karts  are the ones... Boy they do go well there more like 80 mph But there very very twitchy on the liftoff oversteer, you gotta be like lightening with toe n heel those  round, they only let Experts out in those

Think we need to opt for counter ballast in the Karts to level the field out a bit.

In my experience one thing I recall 'nobody's quick when there in the tyre wall....."

Failing that come to Aintree  in October, bring your car...  ^"^
