If a square drive crank instalation isn't checked for tightness a few tines early in its usage the cranks 'bed onto' the axle & it is ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS the left or non drive side that suffers. It was the same with cotter pins.
Once the left side starts to flog, it's gone for good. No way to fix it except by replacement.
Have a look on eBay at all the orphan drive side cranks. Very very few left side cranks ever show up unless they are NOS.
Even if you machine a readily available drive side crank you are still stuck with a right hand pedal thread & it should be left threaded for a very good reason although this can be fixed with a Helicoil.

Best bet, bite the bullet, go online [eBay?] & buy a complete serviceable pair.
Now if you have a good left side Suntour VX crank arm be sure to drop me a line.   Yeah, right.
I'll be building Quickies till the day I die, ..... & maybe a couple of days after that.

I know that this is resurecting a dead thread but it looks like more than a few have not cought on to the crank arm issue & it's simple.

If you have a flogged out crank arm, then with very few exceptions it will ALWAYS be the non drive side that becomes damaged. This has been true ever sibce the invention of the cotter pin crankset. Look at all the orphans in this thread. They are ALL drive side cranks. This is why there are no non drive side spares, the drive side doesn't fail in service, just the non drive side.

So the remedy when it comes to fixing a flogged crank arm is to go shopping for a complete serviceable pair of cranks. They will be much easier to find.
I too have an orphan VX crank & I keep it as an ornament in the shed, If I want to run Suntour VX cranks I will  look for a pair. That way I save myself a lot of time & grief.
If you want to get adventurous, get a matching pair of drive side cranks, have one side heli-coiled for the left side pedal & figure a way to run dual drive like those incredibly cool Clem Twin setups.
"Dual Drive means double torque"  Yeah, right.
I'll be building Quickies till the day I die, ..... & maybe a couple of days after that.
