Made myself a dinky micro stem today

Decided to remove as much materiall as possible off the back of the tube straightener so i could get into the tight areas like the top tube. Put a little 6mm steel shaft into the body to help get a better grip when rotating it

Slowly creaping ahead with this build. Whilst in Japan I thought it only good practice to make good use of our kids printer. Got a few quick draughts of an idea down and a few other little bits to try too

With MK out of the way for another year thought turn back to the lengthy build that it the ultra.
Today ive been mulling over the paint job. With the damage to the frame it needs the chrome stripping to repair properly.
Whilst i was initially annoyed that i would need to lose the chrome i have decided to go with it and use it as an opportuntity to do something a little different with the colour scheme.

A distant 80's video popped into my head with its momentary flashes of splatter colour. After a while searching the net in vain i found it

Take a look, its a proper trip down 80's memory lane.

Slowly slowly catchy monkey. Frame is off the the chrome stripper later this week and ive decided some custom grips are needed

Teal is darker, just looked lighter with all the snazzy lighting on it

Design is done, just need to decide which company has the best rubber filament for 3d printing
