Anodising (VERY Pic Heavy)
« on: September 27, 2014, 02:38 PM »
Hey folkes.

I know I have a sticky but I have spoken to Griff and it is going to be replaced with this one as I have now done so much more BMX stuff, I figure photo's of those may be a better option than motorbike and mountain bike stuff. So... here are some photos of my recent stuff. Enjoy :) You guys have all been absolutely superb customers and without fail my most sent in so thank you!!!

If you have had any work done by me and feel the need to post/show it off if you're happy with it... then I reckon you should most definitely do that...... In this thread  :2funny: :2funny:

**** I have some pretty interesting new techniques im trying over the next two weeks that I have had to order in special and expensive dyes in for. Keep a close eye on this thread.... its going to be good!! and unexpected i think. ****

I'll start with a couple that some of you may have already seen. Then go onto before and after jobs :)

Do you chemically brighten the alloy before anodising?

These were MENTAL!!! 8 hours it took to polish these, I even took them home with me. You can still see polishing lines after anodising but there was nothing i could do as it had been polished to near death!

Pic order is:

Stripped
Polished
Anodised

Thank you, They belong to Chapperz (think that's spelt right)

Do you chemically brighten the alloy before anodising?

Yes, If the required finish isn't 'matte' and its HE30 aluminium.

Lovely stuff! I've seen the red calipers you did for Andy(dttdb) and they are real nice ... Top work and what us Radsters have needed for ages! :smitten:

I'm in Sandhurst, Berkshire. But everyone sends their stuff in by post or courier. You're welcome to drop it in if you're close enough :)

Here's some HP48's that Jay stripped and reanodised, along with a peregrine seat clamp. All good examples of some great work.

When I was born, the world was a far simpler place.
It was all just cops and robbers.
And BMX.
