I want to buy some of these

Vintage Tamiya 3 speeds , RC cars/ pick up trucks with the 3 speed gearbox from the 80tie's , i collect them for many years

And i want some more

# Toyota Hilux 4x4 pick-up Kit.nr. 58028

# Chevrolet Blazing Blazer Kit.nr. 58029

# Toyota Hilux 4x4 Pick-up "Bruiser" Kit.nr. 58048

# Toyota Hilux 4x4 "Mountaineer"

My Sand Scorcher and my first BMX were the best things i had as kid , loved them both and luckily they are still in my possesion today

Did the Hi Lux's come out after the Sand Scorcher ?

I do have the same like you... Only there was one thing more ....

.... BMX.... Tamiya RC.... and windsurfing

I still do BMX and Tamiya... But i did exchanged windsurfing for my Bayliner speedboat.

But i had a great time spending on driving with my RC cars..
I did had in the past some Sand Scorchers...

But my Passion was the most by the Hilux 4x4 ....

The Hilux is the kit number 58028 (28) and the Sand scorcher is the 58016 (16) ...

So the Beetle ( 1980 ) was before the hilux (1982)

Never got into windsurfing myself , tried it once and did ok but i think it was the size of all the equipment that put me off and the fact my Dad would have to take me everywhere . I reckon you did the best thing swapping it for a speedboat

I recently sold my Tamiya Holiday Buggy complete with all the Acoms controls, still working.
Got £170 on eBay.....spent the lot on Bmx parts

My first RC was a Tamiya Holiday buggy and I then progressed to a nitro PB Alpha and then a 4WD 2 speed serpent quattro with a red top rossi engine, bought it second hand, it was raced and was absolutely worn out and I couldn't get parts for it , think they were a Swedish company, the only way you could buy parts were if you bought a 100 of each item, when I hit a kerb and snapped the wishbone and front driveshaft it worked out about £350 to fix it , so I gave the lot away

Mine too me and my bro had Holiday Buggy's.

Had various models over the years including Hotshot, Celica, Mini, Mardave Mini. Wish I still had them.

loved tamiya rc's use to build everyone's in my village, the first 1 I bought was wild willy,then blackfoot, hotshot,avanty, luchbox, grasshopper, avanty 2001 .
