MK15 Racing question-whats required
« on: May 14, 2015, 03:28 PM »
Hi Guys,
I will be attending my first MK Old school meeting this year with 2 skyway TAs.
One for show and one for racing.
My question is regarding racewear.
I have some genuine Haro race pants including a JT Racing open face helmet in Haro and Skyway colours/logos complete with og face mask.
I also intended wearing a Haro t Shirt with og full arm elbow pads.

i was just wandering if they are any rules for eg    long sleeved race shirts full face helmet etc

Any help would be great.
Also how does the old school racing class run ?

Thank you

It's normally run by the Milton Keynes club so normal racing rules apply.

Be careful though. The tracks a killer. That Swannick straight will have you  :LolLolLolLol:

Long sleeves and gloves are needed. I raced in my skatepark piss-pot helmet last year. Most of the others had "proper" helmets. Either full face or a mouthtrap.

I had all the gear, but no idea. Finished last  :LolLolLolLol:
Like Ben said - Long sleeves, gloves, and a helmet. Sounds like your all sorted  :daumenhoch:

Who is thinking of having a race this year ... With the show and shine happening on Saturday it could be fun ( bad head not withstanding ) ... I'll be happy if I manage to survive  'the swannick straight '  :D

Thinking of having a go at the back  :daumenhoch:

Don't have a racer though so it will need to be on my cruiser if i can be bothered to bring it.

So that'll be a no then probably  ;D

Nope, the first corner is best placed for heart attacks :2funny:

Is that true then - S&S on sat this year? I might actually see who wins as I'm usually lying in a ditch nursing a hangover still when they announce the winners on sunday :buck2:

Nope, S&S is on the Sunday as usual, we are just going to have registration on Saturday as well as Sunday to ease the rush on Sunday.
