1976 G-Boy... :-)
« on: August 07, 2015, 05:35 PM »
This frame and fork set sort of 'fell into my lap' one day. Apparently it was an unknown survivor bike that was 're-discovered' late last year.

I bought the frame/forks/og bar clamps and the elusive og seat clamp(three known left in the world).

This really is a rare bit of kit. All aluminium in construction.

The company only made ten pairs of the forks and as far as i have found out four pairs are known in existence. This pair being the only matched pair left in factory colour to the frame.

Parts List :

Frame - 1976 G-Boy
Forks - 1976 G-Boy Girder Forks
Wheels - Came off a 1974 Kawasaki
Tyres - Original to the wheels (they are completely knackered but still hold air)
Crank - 1976 Ashtabula
Chainring - 1976 Three Arrows
Pedals - Union
Stem Clamps - G-Boy
Seat - Mesinger
Bars - AA Rascal Bars
Grips - Oury (ribbed)

Love this! you are keeping it as a survivor right?  :daumenhoch:
Sixteen thirty-two. What is that? A year?   No, it's your top score on Pole Position.

Nice and unusual. I'm guessing that would have been quite a fair price back in the day being alloy? Someone knew what they're doing - neat welds and all. Please say you're keeping it as is and not restoring?

That's nice. Looks well made. Is it heavy or alloy as above ::)
