This 2010 CW ZX Hollywood was offered to me last year by a fellow Radster. Originally it was in factory red cosmi-chrome but had chips on the forks and had had a front brake fitted which had scraped away some of the thin brittle coating. So I stripped it back to the base chrome layer and gave it a good old polish. The bars and seat post were standard with the Hollywood package from CW but were red too. They were stripped and kept as chrome.

Full resto thread here: http://www.radbmx.co.uk/forum/index.php/topic,183678.msg1843608/topicseen.html#new

Then off to SBD it went for a light coat of candy red powder. The results were amazing!!!

After gathering a few bits along the way (Thanks to Woody & Wildon) I went with a mixture of NOS and NEW. After all it is a retro build!
The pictures just don't show how the paint blings :coolsmiley:

Parts list:
CW ZX Hollywood frame & forks
CW Hollywood pad set
CW Pro bars
CW Revcore seat post
Tange 125 headset
Jam buttie seat clamp
Revcore stem
Unitron grips
Elina lightning bolt seat
Dia Compe tech 3 & 890 caliper
Profile cranks, bb & spdier, MCS ring
Suntour XCII pedals
Izumi chain
Araya 7Ls on Revcore hubs
Tioga rainbows fat/thin combo

after a suggestion by griff ive decided to take a punt and submit my mike griffin challenger replica for bike of the month. theres a full rundown of the story behind it in the midschool section of the forum. heres a couple of pics

here she is.

one from the side..

and this is the bike that it is a replica of. it was featured in the first edition of ride that i ever bought and as i was already heavily influenced by videos like bmx inferno and soil. it became definite that mike griffin was the real deal!

 thanks for looking guys :slayer:
