time for a bit of new school.. help!
« on: January 11, 2016, 11:38 AM »
hi all,
im looking for something new school to get back in to riding, ive decided at 36 the time has come to get back in to the saddle and broaden my horisons, about all i could manage back in the day was a bunny hop, so im possibly the most inexperienced person on this site! im after 2 bits of advice really, a half decent new school bike to practice on, and some advice on where a complete newby can go these days to learn stuff without looking a complete tit amoungst the kids! looking on ebay for a bmx, plenty on there but havent a clue what to go for, obviously dont want to spend alot, as i may find im a complete retard at it.
any advice would be greatly recieved.

Hi ya and welcome to RAD.

First what is your budget?  it's a good time of year to grab complete bargains from shops but if you give us a budget I don't mind looking at some for you online.

As for places to learn?  where abouts are you based?  As guys on RAD organise quite a few 'lockins' for us older fellas at skate parks mainly around the midlands and oop north

I ride a lot on my patio! Also a local carpark late Sunday afternoon after the shoppers have gone home. The skateparks would be empty if you went really early in the mornings as the cool kids don't get there until at least noon.

Plenty of decent 2nd hand new school bikes on EBay,Preloved etc for £100,£200 price range.

My WTP Zodiac full cromo etc is a great bike to ride
