Finally finished this, a bit of an 'adventurous' colour choice but the powder finish looks amazing (sbd). I reckon the colours suit a freestyle bike quite well. Special mention to Chubby for the awesome custom pegs :D

I don't often look in the freestyle section but my one and only foray into freestyle was on all-white one of these back in the mid-80s, so I had to have a closer look at this one! A top build, and I love the colours!! :daumenhoch:

The colours work beautifully .. Superb build mate  "wantit"

Personally ( although they are era correct ) I'm not a fan of those pedals ... Swap them and it's perfection for me dude!

A fantastic build  :4_17_5:

This hobby has always been about US 80s Freestyle bikes for me, and this is great.

Never seen any other bars with the part chrome/paint detail which is great, and I really like the way you've done, which I think is important, is the link in of colors, three white items, three satin anodised, and three lavender.
When I was born, the world was a far simpler place.
It was all just cops and robbers.
And BMX.

Blimey, cheers for all the positive comments lads. There I was thinking it might be a bit OTT 😃
Really appreciate all that has been said, that last comment from Factory Pilot has nailed the theory behind this build, built for lazy cruising along a California beach.... All I need to do is find a beach now... 👍😎😎

Just thinking aloud here, but if the pedals were swapped out, what would be the main candidates for replacements?

I thought about a set of the cw grinder pedals but they never come up from what I can tell. I Don't like white painted alloy pedals (think they look weird) and needed some white to go with the seat so settled for the plastic lollypops. Could maybe go for chrome but think it might unbalance the colours....

Look at the pedals on my Aero Reflex, they were fairly cheap too.

both of those alternatives would work great, I'd go for White Grapfights or the Victor equivalents that they did on the Haro Sports that same era.

Have a set of copy graphite x's in black but they don't look right (and try finding a white set that ain't stoopid money....) Might be sacrilege but was built as more of a late 80s beach cruiser so I reckon I'll stick with em for now.... :D

....although I could vinyl spray the black graphite x's in white but not sure how long it would last.....
