1982 Skyway TA

Nice early TA I picked up a few weeks back. Still can't decide on wether to use a padset on her, or even just a TT pad to hide the cable.

Looks great as it is mate, I'd give the pads a miss, show that lovely Chrome off, and save a few £££ at the same time.  :coolsmiley:

It's gorgeous mate .. Looks good with or without pads  :daumenhoch:
I think black parts look awesome with chrome .. There's enough colour coming through with the decals  :smitten:

That's really nice. Well done.

Personally I'd leave it without the pads, maybe some chrome cable clips? Also some silver cages if any turn up?

Top build though  :daumenhoch:

I tried cable clips but the didn't fit well on the teardrop tubing. And as for the pedals, I could find someone that would trade cages or I could just strip these!

Pat, what about those Velcro cable ties, they look pretty cool, a couple of black ones would suit this.  ;)

Try using the largest size DC clips, the 31.8mm size should work  :daumenhoch:
Sweet T/A by the way...like Nick said good to see no red or blue. Personally. I reckon a TT pad would look fine  :daumenhoch:

Love me a T/A!! How about changing to a silver cable to blend in more with the chromework?

You've done a great job on this Pat  :4_17_5:
I bought some cable clips for mine, you have to manipulate them to fit the tubing but the only problem with that treatment is the chrome might flake off as it did at the v tear bend on these. I haven't decided if im going to use them on my build yet but if i do i'll have to have them chromed again because of the flaking.
Could be just a pad or velcro me thinks.

Padset would tidy up the cable no end  :daumenhoch:
