Profile crank axles
« on: May 17, 2017, 01:55 PM »
Hello chaps ,
I have a 19mm 48 spline axle for my Profile cranks , it`s hollow ( and so are the bolts that go with it ). The problem is the length , it`s only 130mm . The one I need is more like 150mm . Does anybody know if any of the cheaper axles fit ?
Thanks for your help

19mm 48 spline axles are widely available in 145mm & you'd think they would be the same but I tried it with a non Profile axle & the arms were a little loose on the axle. I have no idea why & maybe you'll have more luck  :LolLolLolLol:

Not so silly at all:) A lot of modern street/park frames have wider stays to accomodate the tractor sized tyres.Standard length axles don`t always allow the arms to be spaced widely enough apart without having just a couple of mm inside the crank arm.

Exactly that ! I`m just trying to get the crank arms to clear the stays .
