Hey there,

I haven't posted on here in a long time. I've just completed my 1983 Turbo rebuild, here's the detail...

1983 Koizumi OG Frame and forks, repainted with new decals
DB Stamped OG 'Large' bars, repainted with new decals
HLT OG 181 crank repainted with new decals and OG turbo caps
Sugino OG 44t chrome chainring
D.I.D. OG Nickel 3/8 chain
Turbo stamped OG chrome Suntour Stem
Turbo SR OG chrome seat clamp
Turbo stamped OG Seat post
Turbo OG suede 5 Gold seat with OG KSM guts
'83 OG chrome DC Pre-bent levers, OG chrome DC 890 brakes incl. OG '83 outer cables and DC inners
20 x 1.75 OG chrome Araya rims with OG chrome Suzue sealed hubs and OG spokes
Repop comp 3 tyres
NOS F-1 style Fuan grips
OG DB Padset
OG Suntour XC-2

I am the second owner, bought and restored from the original owner. The original turbo smoke was removed before he received the BMX on xmas morning 1983. Everything bar the tires and grips are original to the bike. I hope you enjoy...

Cheers, Livvy

This has been almost done for a while but now finally done with the last details and polishes so thought would post here. Never entered before!

Will just post full details that I also put in the Museum:

2015 JDB Hutch Trick Star, Candy Red

Man this has been a labour of love! Saved so hard and waited so long to build this modern interpretation of the candy red Hutch Trick Star. This has modern flatland geometry and high end modern parts to match, but I’ve tried hard to keep the old school vibe! Couldn’t resist the rebranding, as my nickname is Lockie/Lockster/Lockstar, so on a build that's all about indulgence bordering on the ridiculous (even chromed the gyro tabs!) I allowed myself the indulgence! :-)

Thanks loads to everyone who helped me! Human bikelopedias Trevor Henry and Ryan Nunies for parts/set up advice/build inspiration! John De Bruin at Hutch for rebooting this legendary frame and for the humour - and indeed there is humour! - in parts like the micro Power Disk with allen key bolts option where you don't even need 'em! Scott Brummell for caps! Del for decals! Superbike Dan for the amazing candy paint job! Scott Vargas for sorting the brake bridge engraving in the States, which was an ordeal to say the least, and would never have happened without Scott! Mark Smith for a serious amount of polishing! The Portugese man-beast Angelo Casthilo Patino at Dave Owen Cycles for getting the crank on! Mark Blackburn at Priory Photography for pics! And biggest thanks of all to Stuart 'One Flying Kidney' Crumpton for the build – the velvet gloves were definitely on for this one!

Hope some like it despite the pesky micro gearing etc! :-)

Bought a regular blue 2017 GT 26 Performer but fancied doing something a bit different with it, which as usual went completely overboard with, pretty much only used the frame, forks and cranks. Drove from Sweden to Cleethorpes in 19 hours for the RAD2.0 event via Steve Animal and SuperBikeDan and built this up in my hotel from on the Thursday night.

Spec:
2017 GT 26" Performer frame and forks (refinished in dayglow orange with glow-in dark clear coat)
2017 GT Power Series cranks
GT Chainring (40T)
GT stamped chain ring bolts
Shimano GX (Gripper) pedals
Action Zone bars
Custom made 1 1/8" GT mallet
Dia Compe Tech 7 levers
A'me bubble font Tri grips
Dia Compe Nippon front
Dia Compe 990 rear
26" UKAI Speedline laced to GT Superlace hubs
80's GT Pegs, fork and frame standers
OSP Alloy layback
1985 GT seat
Dia Compe hinged seat clamp
