Wanted - Mongoose 80's forks
« on: October 12, 2017, 09:51 PM »
Hi I am looking for a set of forks for a Mongoose Californian.

Please let me know if you have a set you want to sell.

Many thanks

Lee your chances of finding a set is pretty slim mate.

However what you could do is put a set of fairly standard chrome Tange TX1200's or similar onto your Grand Prix build and use the Mongoose forks off that for your Californian as it is a much better frameset.

Just a thought  :coolsmiley:

Have a look in the museum section or the "me and my bikes" section- a few of us have been known to build Geese up

Think I had a few? Check out the Goosemaster himself Mr John Bobafett.....

Thanks Spen, Im realising that now :-[

I like your idea, I may buy some of the Haro forks coming in at AlansBmx and use mine on the Cali. Alternatively Im trying to buy another Cali F&F to do another white bike so I may have options.

Love looking at your thread, the injury looked painful mate. I did my wrist last year snowboarding, surgery and pins. It took me months to recover so understand well we don't bounce like the old days!

Your Supergoose and the white Goose are lovely!

Cheers

Try not to do it all in a rush
Stuff comes up eventually and then you'll only end up buying twice

Thanks Griff.

Agreed, easy to get excited and over buy/pay.

If I had known I probably would not have bought the frame on its own, the seller has now listed the forks. Going to wait.

Yep tried to sell me the forks for over 200 as soon as he marked the frame as dispatched.

On principle I will find another set.
