Why only one bike, you can have groups on Xfactor so I am throwing in a curve ball, a boy band  :2funny:

5 bikes in one pic, these 5

Lot of hard work planning, preparing and packing, all 5 sailed around Nice and Monaco for 4 days, no breakdowns or faults, the ulimate ride out, riding around Monaco GP circuit, no carpet queens here

dancetothedrumofthebeat - 1985 MT Racing The Fox
Torkerdude180 - Torker ?
factory pilot - Skyway Street Beat
Bigbadsam - Torker 280x
cheeta - SE Racing PK Ripper

 fistblump

if any bmx's of this year had any xfactor it was these bmx's

Pick one Cheeta

Why? Xfactor is not a solo singing comp, I can't, if my entry of 5 bikes as one, is void then so be it.

Maybe cos it's not the real xfactor.   :LolLolLolLol:
And maybe cos nominating 5 bikes is fookin bonkers.  :crazy2:

ah so if a bikes been sat in someones garage for 40 years, its got the BMX factor, again the BMX Factor should not be a single submission, might as well call it BOTY  :pilky:

I am fookin lost in what BMX Factor is, £4k bike thats sat in someones lounge  :idiot2: rad community is about being together, 5 bikes and 5 people went to Nice/Monaco but we went as one, and did the RADBMX community a presence, in an uncharted territory, not being dicks, seeing Nice and Monaco, and posting pics on RAD Facebook, and some on RAD forum, maybe that is it, not enough love to the forum.......

Voting for a bike that has not moved 100 yards for 20 years  :2funny:

Anyway, seeing as I have to nominate ONE bike

Torkerdude180 = 1982 Torker LP, Arpil 2017 on some shitty kerb in Monte Carlo

It is in this timeless picture, if you look close enough

No actually this competition isn't about the Rad community and riding bikes and being together... It's about the rules set aside by Dan in his original post. His game... his rules.  :daumenhoch:

And jumping on thread trying to bend the rules to suit yourself then kicking off when you don't get your own way isn't very  :radbmxsmilie:  tbf. If you don't like the rules... don't play the game. ???

Yeah, cheers Nick.

THIS IS A BIT OF FUN

If it doesn't suit you Cheeta then step away, don't come on here full of ale kicking off. If you'd been on RAD more than 5 minutes, you'd know that this is how we've played it previously and BOTY is made up of BOTM winners from that year.

This just seems like a blatant attempt to pronote your Monaco ride....AGAIN.  ::)

Check your inbox, I explained the reason for a single bike entry in a PM yesterday morning.

There have been so many stand out bikes this years it’s been unbelievable you’ve only got to look back over the BOTM entrants to see the quality of the builds of late, but for me the ole stand out build is Steve Jones Limit Fabrications (Hoffman) Punisher.

This is would have been Jay Mirron’s signature frame had he stayed with HB and not left to go ride for Schwinn. The bike was originally designed by Chris Gack, but never made it past the one off prototype stage. This frame was recreated to the exact spec using the original designs supplied by and with the blessing of Chris Gack himself. It has since been built up with era appropriate parts and was on display in the mid school area of this years MK17.

OMG this is going to be difficult!! So can I just clarify (to help my brain get into gear) that it must be a bike that we've seen for the first time this year?

No, have a look at the 1st post Mick.

Any bike
Any year
Any era
Any builder

Got it! Thanks Dan. :daumenhoch:

Right then, let's crack on with this! There have already been some stunning bikes in this thread alone (I love that Trickstar 2 and I'm not even a freestyle guy) but I need to look no further than one of my favourite builders on here - markyp - for my favourite bike on RAD! Of the many great bikes that have come out of sunny Weymouth, it's this '82 Patty Long that gets my juices flowing every time I see it. In fact, the Redline 500a that I'm working on at the moment is inspired by this beauty. My dream bike with the XXX factor! Love it!!! :smitten:

At MK17, Patterson, chrome and orange (yeah I know!) with orange Skyways.
That bike popped big time.
Wanted: Shimano Aero frame

I think that may have been Lee Morris (Moza's) bike.

Good choice.

wow thanks and thanks to Dan for the heads up. I try to build my bikes so they are all different and decided to go gold and orange on the Patterson. I've had many a disagreement over the tuffs being freestyle wheels and not racing wheels. I always reply tuffs were around long before freestyle kicked off. I was unable to find gold parts so I restored what I could find and refitted the quick releases on the brakes. The bike was ridden around Cleethorpes by me then my friends daughter as she loved it. I also handed it over to her at MK to ride , at Cleethorpes Gary Turner loved it as he made the frames for Patterson  :smitten: :smitten:

Easy for me this one-  Gra_Goose's 83 survivor Pro Class. Awesome bike and all I wanted as a lad (well, only until I saw my first minge and then I forgot all about BMX of course!)

Wow thanks man, glad you like it!
Honoured that such a simple, honest bike mentioned amongst some stunners!
No machine polishing, shiny siding or refinishing in sight!

I've got myself a short list from the BOTM posts but I'll have a look through my MK pictures to make sure I don't shoot my load to quickly. I'm really enjoying researching this one. Quite good these kids bikes  :daumenhoch:

It can be from any year or any MK too Paul, anywhere really but would prefer to keep it RAD.

It's so hard to pick one bike from the 100's that have been superbly built over the years.

I've gone for this bike, not as it was built by a pal of mine, but because of the detail and overall stance that it gives. It's the bike that's stuck in my mind the most in recent years, due to its understatement partially.

I'm picking Ant's 1985 GHP Pro.

Bit of a blast from the past but Adams Woody Replica tricky is still my favourite build of all time I think

This is the beauty of this comp, we're all different and all have our own preferences. You never know what bikes are getting thrown into the mix. It's great to see a good throwback build like this.

Another great thing is, you might not even vote for the bike you've submitted. If you've nominated a bike in the early stages, someone may come after you and throw a bike you've forgotten about in.

It's purely down to pot luck who decides to play and where the votes go.

Some nice bikes so far but when it comes down to soul and pure chidhood memories this build from Jaymz is hard to beat  :4_17_5:

Sixteen thirty-two. What is that? A year?   No, it's your top score on Pole Position.

It took some bleeding finding but I got there in the end. I've always liked this belter:
Terry's 1987 Haro Team Master

[ Attachment: You are not allowed to view attachments ]

I've always liked it. I did / do have plans to make my own clown bike version using a Zippo and Orange skyways but it will be too clown bikey to finish  :-[
