Ooh I thought I wonder if that's one of those long ones, I know its USA made, I will ask for the top tube length-
sure enough 21'' on centres head tube and seat tube - has to be a

1997 ish PK - R - XL , that's nice I though.

rear drops look pretty good too, so I bought it for 160 posted.......
Then Poo!!
where am I going to get some landing gear forks, looking at the pk on bmx museum, I ascertained if USA made ones they should have only TWO holes in the drop out IF they are late 90's
quick look on ebay and there was a new set!!! 49.99 delivered

* fork1.jpg (101.59 kB. 1600x595 - viewed 10 times.)

so I snagged them, especially with free delivery

* fork3.jpg (157.01 kB. 1508x1119 - viewed 9 times.)

people must think they are snide as they only have two holes

* fork 2.jpg (149.77 kB. 1475x1116 - viewed 9 times.)

but they look lush.
so that happened within two minutes of buying the frame just now, so hey ho - ONWARDS
p.s. don't have a clue on mid-school stuff :LolLolLolLol:

ooh, nice.
I suppose I have to ask...........
can I run profile mini hubs not sure, bit early?
chris king headset not sure, bit early?
aluminium crupi pro bars not sure, bit early?
dxr brakes and lever defo nope
which 36 hole  rims = anything chrome super 7x style? super 7x, definitely, lots of obscure, less well known rims used in "mid school" like Mavic & less well known Araya  rims.

I'm not sure on the timelines of Profile hubs & Chris King etc, they may have been available, something for you to research? :daumenhoch:

I fancy low flang crupi hubs - the bulb ones,do I need the earlier small logo - or the later bigger logo?

no wonder the rear drops are so good, its never been built!!!!!!!
sweet, someone however removed the priginal decals and applied something else, this in turn has photo - etched into the original finish,
I think it may have been hanging for 20 years in the sun light.
so my question is, are these annodised silver
its not as shiney as my same year floval at all, options
1. remove annodising if nin deed it is and re-anno silver
2. re anno a different colour
3. paint it
4. remove anno and polish it
hmmm

slao update on parts procurement

small flange c-record hubs it is then, couldn't go sherriff stars, too spendy, got to have a bit of campness though.
its 9mm axles not 9.5
just a shame they aren't new........ or it isn't new
still have to find the front one, this was well cheap as the axle had snapped, I shall stick in a 9mm solid axle anyway
