Nearly finished...
« on: April 02, 2018, 05:18 PM »
Hi guys, not too flash of a build but I hope you like it. I thought I’d share some pics of my nearly finished first build with parts all sourced in sales. Money doesn’t grow on trees after all. Started this build well over a year ago!

Frame, forks and bars-Total BMX Hangover 2 in sparkle orange.
Headset and bottom bracket-Eastern in black
Cranks 3 piece in gloss black-Firma
Pedals-DMR V8 in gloss black
Sprocket-Total BMX Rock n Roll Lite 25t
Stem-Total BMX cnc’d in gloss black
Chain-KMC 710 in black and silver
U Brake (cnc’d)and lever-Shadow Conspiracy Sano in gloss black
Seat post-Eclat Torch layback in gloss black
Seat-Mutiny pivotal Kevlar type in grey
Grips-Renthal single ply medium compound in grey
Wheels-Blank Compund with cassette 9t driver in rasta
Tyres-We the people Gripping all black
I think that’s it. Would like your feedback good or bad.  p.s I know the bars should be further back but I couldn’t ride it in line with the forks, chicken wing style. I just need to hook the brake up and it’s done!
Thanks for looking.

That's bang tidy mate. Loads of new school bikes look great these days and that is cool :coolsmiley:

Really try and get the bars back a bit, the bike will be far more stable in the air  :daumenhoch:

Thanks Spen, I’ll set them back a bit when the sun is out and see how I do. Watch the injuries thread for an update 🤕

Thanks chez, the wheels were going to be oil slick but we’re delivered with damage. They was out of stock so went for the rasta.

Pickle, I’ll set the bars further back and after reading another thread might set the seat to run with the top tube. Could slap a sano detangler on in the future, let’s see.

Thanks for your comments guys. I’m now planning my next build. 81 goose frame set bought and pondering 🤔 Watch out for my next thread on sorting iffy dropouts. You’ve all been there right ?

bars same angle as forks is a good rule these days ... we needed bars upright BITD doe to the short frames and relaxed head tube angles  :daumenhoch:

seat same angle as top tube as well ... no one sits down no more  :4_17_5:

Really, really nice...the colour is perfect, bet it looks wild in the sun!!

Out of interest, what made you go with a Total Hangover?

They are a great tech frame, and a ton of riders use them, but couldn't be any further away from old school, ie steep headangle, low standover, short rear end.
