Obviously became old hat when the 990 etc appeared. If you've no mounts on your forks then they're still the best thing to slow a mid tank ...

cool I was thinking along those lines so your reply is spot on regarding a decent caliper brake then and with Clints mod they should be better again then

Right then kid's.
Clint kindly sent me a kit down & even with the hangover from hell it took less than 10 mins to swap over. The brake feels beautifully smooth & looks good to me too.
Will find something to chuck it on for a test in the week .
