« on: August 17, 2018, 01:33 PM »
OK peeps - let's see your August builds (should be plenty of MK bikes this month!)

- Please post a full build spec for your entry.
- You may post a maximum of 4 pictures of your bike ( no tiled images - 4 individual pictures )
- You MUST still own the bike you enter.
- Your entry MUST be a new build and have not been entered before, or, it must be a major rebuild with significant changes.
- The build MUST be completed within the month of entry
- All entries must be in before the 1st of the following month or they will be removed.
- Any entrant found 'canvassing' for votes or other forums/social media sites will have their bike removed.

Tribute Redline Looptail.

The first looptail bmx was made in late 73-4 for Rick Twomey of Rick's Bike Shop team by Redline. Rick was the Grandfather of BMX. Helping start not only now famed riders but bikes too. Two bikes made. One exists and in a private collection. The other lost or stolen. Reason for the big loops. It's all Redline had to make their speedway bike frames.
This frame and forks are a copy of the original survivor. I saw it was for sale and had a plan.
The #12 on the plate was Rick's motoX race number.

Parts are:

Full cromo frame and forks, powdercoated candy red.
Decals by John Dalingwater.
Araya moped rims with Shimano MX hubs and 105 spokes.
Cheng Shin front 20 x 2.125.
Super rare Paragon Stud rear 20 x 2.125.
Unknown bars.
OGK grips.
Redline Gen1 Proline stem.
Persons, Schwinn stingray seat.
Cut down sissy bars.
Wald seatpost.
Schwinn seat clamp
Schwinn sweetheart chainwheel.
Schwinn crank dated 74.
Rat trap pedals.
DID nickel chain.
Schwinn BB
Schwinn headset.
NOS red pads.

I second that emotion - MK builds galore. Hopefully. I'm torn already between the two of em.

It's a very mean and nasty place and I don't care how tough you are it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. Miss you loads Dad
