Mk1 1983 Raleigh Ultra Burner

Finished in time for the last Burner Bash in 2012 where it won 1st Place in Mk1 Class, it went on to win 1st place at MK12 in the Street Bike Section.

I still have it but have added a NOS Seat.

I was lucky enough to have a ultra burner on Christmas morning in ‘82 , so happy that day thrashing down the street with my brakes squealing onto the new 7x and I binned the pad set and reflectors that day lol..

Never really been a fan of burner's, but i've got to admit that looks nice!  :)

Ultra Burners always looked cool with black and gold  :)

It was a massive design success by Raleigh IMHO, all their various color ways stood out and it’s what people remember now, when you discuss Burners.

It’s a shame that the same effort wasn’t applied to their frame design.

I got mine Christmas 82 gave it to my sister 83 when I got my Redline Proline 2 ................she left it under the front room window Christmas day to eat dinner and just like that it was gone  :(

Mark Ralph can do the gold lacquer ‘superchrome’ finish, he’s the best in fact, providing the chrome is good underneath, you’ll get a flawless finish.
