« on: March 16, 2019, 03:15 PM »
Can anyone give me any advice on setting one of these up please.... i thought i'd done it right, but it feels like a wet lettuce. Also, do i need a v brake specific lever for it ?

Thanks in advance.

A v specific lever has more "pull" than u/caliper levers.A brakes are a pain in the arse to set up.Do you have the instruction sheet with them?

Once you`ve fitted it,leave the springs pointing out-not secured by the retaining pin then tighten down the bolts before popping the springs back behind the retaining pin once you`ve got enough tension to keep the blocks from rubbing on the rim once the lever is released.

I don`t know if there are many CNC`d v levers around.Paul are OK but don`t have much cable pull.I`ve used the Box ones too but again they don`t have much pull for a v lever. but keep going back to trusty DXRs.I`ll be after a TRP ML 940 lever soon, had them before and are pretty neat.
