Craig Schofield old practice/race f/f
« on: March 23, 2019, 07:43 PM »
I'm so honoured to own this, it came up for sale a few weeks ago on facebook and how could I say no , a few people questioned it's authenticity so after a quick pm to Craig he then confirmed it was his old practice/race bike , now the fun begins to try and get this done for mk this year if I can find the parts and funds allow even a few repro parts

A brilliant bit of history mate, I saw it myself and was tempted but I don’t want the bikes I have now, so shut down the page ASAP.  :LolLolLolLol:

Keep us posted with the build progress, this will be a belter.

Love the survivor finish, assuming that's the case. What route are you going to take with the build - keep it the same spec as CS had or put your own spin on it?

I've cleaned the f&f just to remove the rust spots and I noticed that it was team colours originally like his other race bike and I've managed to find the magazine with Craig and Andy in Tenerife

Wow...this is cool!
So Andy and Craig were running roughly the same parts.....Never cheap doing rider reps as they always seemed to use 401's bitd

I managed to find d a pair of gt sealed bearing hubs which I only need the front and a rear suzue sealed bearing hub and the hardest bit to find was the 180mm 401 cranks set with 44 chain ring,  then I managed to get it finished with just a few days before MK19 and here it is finished with its trophy from MK admins choice award, when the weather gets better I'll post up some more detailed pics
